Our Vets
Dr Matt McLennan
BVSc.(USyd). MVS (Murdoch University)
Matt graduated from the University of Sydney with a passion for improving the lives of pets. This passion has been the driving force behind his career, and he’s dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Matt started Normanhurst Vet Practice in 2010, initially as a mobile service, and opened the fully equipped Vet Hospital at Normanhurst in 2011. In 2022, Matt expanded our team to include Cherrybrook Vet Practice, furthering his commitment to animal care in the community.
In Matt’s early career at the RSPCA and various veterinary hospitals across Sydney’s Hills & Hornsby District and Upper North Shore, Matt developed a special interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. He also completed his Masters in Veterinary Science to deepen his expertise.
At home, Matt is kept busy by his Sheltie, Tully, who rules the household, particularly when it comes to choosing which of Matt’s three children to sleep with at night. In his downtime, Matt enjoys solving Rubik’s cubes and running along bush trails.
